After two incredibly busy months, March is a more subdued affair when it comes to new releases. That doesn't mean that there aren't some big games to get excited for, but in comparison to February and its main-event debuts--like the rare leap-year release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on February 29--March provides some welcome breathing space.
Some of the highlights this month include WWE 2K24, a game that has been overshadowed by recent controversies at the home of powerslams and RKOs hailing from outta nowhere. This year's Wrestlemania Showcase looks like a fun trip down memory lane, and with Wrestlemania 40 looking to be one of the biggest live events in WWE history, it'll be fascinating to explore the matches responsible for defining the showcase of the immortals.
Nintendo fans can also look forward to Princess Peach Showtime and Unicorn Overlord this month, and on the PlayStation side, Team Ninja is back with a hack-and-slash-and-shoot journey across Japan during a pivotal era of change in Rise of the Ronin.
For more in March, you can check out the rest of the highlights below, and for a broader look at the gaming calendar, you can check out the 2024 upcoming games schedule.

The Outlast Trials (PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) - March 5
The next Outlast game is putting a multiplayer spin on its hide-or-flight gameplay, as you'll be testing your stealth abilities with fellow players in this co-op experience. There's more to The Outlast Trials than a lethal game of hide-and-seek, and as you venture further inside the Murkoff Corporation's compound to test advanced methods of brainwashing and mind control, you'll be given opportunities to create a more durable survivor. Having originally launched in Steam early access last year for PC, this release of the game will be its full 1.0 launch when it lands on that platform and consoles.

Alone in the Dark (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S) - March 20
A few delays later, Alone in the Dark is finally ready to serve up some fresh scares in March. Princess Peach: Showtime (Switch) - March 22
Move over Mario, because for the first time in nearly two decades, Princess Peach is taking charge in this month's big Nintendo game. Not only is Peach a powerhouse in her game, but she's also able to use different skills and weapons when she dons theaterical clothing, with some of the potential transformations including Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach, and Patisserie Peach.
Rise of the Ronin (PS5) - March 22
Ninja Gaiden and Nioh developer Team Ninja has made a name for itself over the years with its polished action games, and this year, the studio is preparing to unsheathe a history lesson in Rise of the Ronin. Once again, you'll be the new kid in town who find themselves caught up in the latest fantasy escapades of Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny. School has been closed for the day thanks to a massive blizzard, factions are running rampant in the snowy wastelands, and it's up to you to save the world from an endless winter.
