SYNOPSIS
The axis of Atlantic high pressure will extend across the Georgiawaters today, resulting in a prevailing southeasterly wind flow,with southerly evening wind surges expected. Near caution levelsover the near and offshore as southerly winds will bring the Seasto build to 3-5 feet this evening. A frontal boundary enteringthe southeastern states late this week will shift Atlantic highpressure southward, resulting in a prevailing southerly wind flowon Friday and Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will mainly beconfined to the near shore waters during the late afternoon andevening hours through Thursday, followed by increasing chances forshowers and thunderstorms from Friday through the weekend. Windswill shift to northeasterly by Saturday night or Sunday as thefrontal boundary sinks southward towards our local waters and highpressure wedges down the southeastern seaboard. Seas of 2-4 feetwill prevail both near shore and offshore.
