PEORIA, Ill. – A man with a last known address in Peoria was arrested on federal drug and weapons charges early Wednesday morning.
Peoria Police say Johnathan Sargent, 34, was taken into custody at around 6:40 A.M. after two search warrants were executed by Peoria Police’s Special Investigation Division, the Peoria Police SWAT Team, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Warrants were executed at two locations; at a house in the area of James Road and Stephen Drive, and an apartment on W. Crestwood just off Sheridan.
Officers reportedly located and seized illegal drugs, drug equipment, money, and a firearm during a search of both locations.
Sargent was taken in for questioning, then arrested and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
He was arrested on federal charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
